all our fears, delusions, prejudices, insecurities and distorted moralities,
lying there on the ground, looked down upon and laugh at, as we walk away from.

Don't believe, trust yourself.

 Every year, around April, a celebration regarding the resurrection of Jesus is about to take place into our lifestyles, the Easter. During the years since zombies believed to be true, bunnies giving birth to chocolate eggs joined the fairytale as representatives of the consumer capitalistic societies.

 

Today's culture always finds ways to interact with and enhance billboard fairy tales for their own economic interests (old fat male version of red riding hood drinking sugar water, evidence of love and care under sparkling trees). Constantly blocking our spiritual growth, a failure to enlighten the self.

Fortunately, religious tradition's roots have been slowly uprooted from our lives since the acknowledgement of critical thinking, understanding of the word "believe" and the access of information through the internet.
 

An apology to the possible offense that i might have caused, it's a form of rebellious reaction which occurs whenever i experience something that i perceive as offensive to my humane morality and intelligence. I always approach a discussion with the possibility of me-being-wrong.


Prove me wrong. Please. 


Thesis:

Provocative as a way of self expression. The oppressed dreams of our early lives. Awaken from American nightmares. The true self speaking his mind.

Provocative art and lifestyles, along the way, laughing at cultural insecurities and taboos as the social boundaries keep dissolving. Boundaries that keep us apart, eliminate our experiences and freedom. 

  

Provocative as to what society expects, (9 to 5 death and taxes) a rejection of a 

lifestyle made possible through social cultural engineering. 

An official "fuck off" statement to a lifestyle full of hatred, egotistic values and insecurities. 

The urge to stop consuming previous cultures and instead keep creating new ones. (sun worshiping out of trend, then Jesus came along, a black president, the perfect wife) We forgot ourselves along the way as well as our dreams. We have given too much attention to cultural icons that we forgot who is the creator of all. 

 

It is us.

Same meaning, different story.

What distinguishes good from bad music?
In other words, how does someone know and identify, while justifying the point of identification, if the tune he is listening to is "worth" the attention given.

Well, it depends.

Music is a form of language itself. But despite the strict grammar rules of the speaking/writing language, music keeps evolving and dissolves cultural boundaries. It is in its own way, the language that speaks out the emotions which everyday language has not yet found an ideal description of. A better understanding of finding meaning in our lives.

Understanding music is just the first part of the equation. Through your understanding you absorb certain influences, that affect you later on.
You just have to listen to it. Pay attention. Find your own translation about how it makes you feel. It depends on the listener's perception and way of translating the musical information provided into meaning.

-What kind of music do you enjoy listening to? 

-I don't mind, as long as it expresses my current state of consciousness and embrace the "moment".

Trying to find meaning and understanding throughout our experiences.

This meaning, is in the end, what really matters. 

The answer to the question, "Why do you listen to this?"

• Culture, most likely. People are listening the music other people listen to, in order to fit in a specific kind of group. In contradiction, people listen to music others would never listen to, just to put themselves out of those groups. 
• Feelings, is another option. You listen to a certain kind of music that expresses the way you understand reality in a particular moment.
• Exploration/Curiosity.
• Knowledge.

Ignorance kills. Do not let the marketing fool you. Trust yourself. Not the image of your "about to become" idol.

Now, regarding the taste issue. It really depends on the meaning drawn from the music itself.                

•    A good example is the one comparing different languages. You cant distinguish which one is the best. As there is not such thing. An ethnicist has been conditioned to believe that the greatest nation is the one, he spent his brainwashed childhood on.  Same goes with music, but...

  There is good/structured well formed grammatical usage of writing language (definitely not the one you are reading right now) and there is the "keep it simple in order to survive and communicate with the grocery store guy", in other words, the less intellectual one. Applying that factor into the musical language and you got your distinction of:

• Good taste. Characterized as inspiring, imaginative, creative, epic, heavenly like and so on..

• Bad taste. Characterized as boring, meaningless, done it before, not convincing to the listener.

 ! However, take into consideration that all the above depend strictly on the mindset of the individual listener. The more open-minded he is, the more music he will be able to process and criticize. Being in denial, paralyzes your personal evolution.


The trap. while creating music.
Seeing the topic, from a different perspective.

From personal experience, being a so called "musician", whenever i wanted to create something dark, mysterious and chaotic i would listen to music that expressed those ideals. However, being stuck into this "trap" of "second hand experience" creation, the final sound was not as original as i thought it would be. I was playing the role instead of being the role.




Being the fundamental role is the key for original, great music. Playing from your heart. Expressing your own situations and experiences into musical language is the ideal principle for creative music. Pure music. Feelings, even the most talented poet can't find words for.



Either you listen/play in order to dance, relax/focus, be inspired or travel into the deep oceans of mind, music will always be a bond between our reality and human spirit. Do not disgrace it, let it be a strong one.

Am I Right?

What is right, what is wrong? What is true, what is false?
Basic ethical principles we all run by, but what is the purpose?
Why do we run though those rules? (Are these short phrases a possible grammatical error? It is to a Linguistic expert for certain. Not for me.)

As we grow and evolve though life, we realize as each day passes, that we experience something new and different that stigmatizes and affects our behavior. These influences, which grow into aspirations/ideas, act as fuel for our need to communicate. That interaction of ideas (aspiration), transforming them to language (fuel), in order to be accessible in space and time (communication) is what someone can call "action"/"result"/"whatever you want to call it". That "action" might be right, might be wrong or might be both, depending strictly on the judge's (a person who takes the responsibility of criticizing that "action") point of view which relies on his set of mind. It also depends on how willingly and patiently the judge is going to put aside his own opinions (ideologies/ideas/mindset) so as to process (as fair as possible) the other person information behind that "action" in order to accept, reject or interact with it. It's their choice. 

(A good example is you reading this point of view of mines right now. It's your choice if you are going to accept it or not. (And my aspiration to make my ideas as poetically and beautifully attracted and designed in order them to be more convincing, which is another story... ))

Taking a step back, reconsidering the history of one's ethical principles created by the continuous conflict between what is right/truth and what is wrong/untruth, it is profound that each individual's opinion is being transform by the surrounding's influences (family, religion, associations, experiences, etc...). Which, leads to the conclusion that differentiation from what is right and what is wrong, depends on the reality of individuality. All these variations create the abuse of the word "interesting" as something creative, basically new to our current mindset/operating system. 

That's also why everyone is unique.

From the moment we are born, we enter this world with a certain operating system that we abide. Call it instinct, or whatever you want to call it as it does not really matter, it just is. It is the foundation of ourselves of what truly makes us one. The basic moral principles which make and characterize us all as human beings. The basis of love, communication, hope and everything else that matters to you is going to be built based on those foundational principles.

It's up to you if you would choose to connect with others, it is your choice to acknowledge those principles. These basic moral principles that we all share, on what is right and what is wrong, tend to be left behind while we continue to live our lives blindly as we shut ourselves off...

An Introduction (Disclaimer)

As I mentioned a year ago, I'll be posting here whatever I think it's worth talking about.
You don't have to agree with me.

Everyone has a different perspective of observing and processing information. We understand reality based on our previous experiences and information gathering. (The translation of my thoughts into words depends strictly on my experiences with language skills).
It's that simple. We are limited to human direct experience.

Having a certain ideology or thesis regarding anything, not only opinion or belief, limits our "experiences in the process of happening" list and leading to a non-creative set of mind; a close-minded individual who does not accept any form of alternative way of thinking different from his own is considered dangerous according to my observations. (Google Fascism)



Expression through exploration of the self and taking responsibility for your actions is what keeps this continuous energy flowing while constructing this so called reality out of all those special moments we observe as experiences.

• Do not believe. Question and doubt everything. (Consider everything as rumor, ideology has poisoned the planet)

• Do not follow. Lead. (Following is a tasteless position to find yourself in. Lead your way of thinking for the shake of respecting yourself)

• Do not watch. Act. (Watching while not participating in society is incredibly disempowering)

Thinking is a way of testing and questioning different scenarios while you keep on balancing your way on maintaining a position on a certain subject. (Like I am trying to organize my thoughts)
The perfect example of a paradox, but in the end it's your unique opportunity to figure things out that really matters.

My diary

First of all, i want to make it clear that this blog is more than some random personal thoughts or experiences, ideas and dramatic attention-seeking texts. An attempt to gather and construct my mind, to develop the design, my design and the way i see through that. Am sure this page will get me in some kind of trouble, as i am going to speak the truth and only the truth. How ironic ha? Am about to take a small nap now, she sat next to me, i can feel her presence; dream diary may I call it. Kinda love the way it sounds already...
